The opera house in the square has two halls: Music and Performance. The Music Hall features headphones playing folk songs with abacus culture, while the Dance Hall uses interactive silhouettes to showcase traditional and children’s dances.
The sound of abacus beads downstairs comes from an installation at the entrance of the Boutique Hall on the second floor. In the air, magical beads perform in three acts: (1) beads bounce up and down, creating the crisp sound of an abacus; (2) all the beads fall into three layers, producing the sound of raindrops falling on lotus leaves; (3) the three layers of beads move in wave-like rhythms, where sound turns into form, accompanied by gentle background music that lets visitors drift into the serene world of the abacus.
